In 1936, when memories were still captured in black and white, ORWO – Wolfen marked the turning point in photography. Based in Saxony-Anhalt, the GDR company developed the world’s first practical color film. What was then the highest technical standard is now a form of art in its own right, thanks to nostalgia and vintage lovers: analogue photography.
